The Food Allergy Support Group of Minnesota (FASGMN) provides a variety of programs geared toward our two main focus groups:
Support for KidsNearly 8% of children in the U.S. have food allergies, and the number appears to be on the rise. FASGMN strives to support the needs of kids through our YES program and events.
Monthly YES meetings and events are currently offered for kids ages 5 to 12. FASGMN members and non-members are welcome to attend any or all events. Please check the master calendar on the Events page for details about specific dates. To be added to the email list for YES News, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Watch the calendar on the Events page for future dates. Support for CaregiversThe Food Allergy Support Group of Minnesota (FASGMN) began in 2003 as a support group for parents of kids with food allergies, and that support continues today through various programs and events. Support Group Meetings are offered bi-monthly in an open format to meet the current needs of each individual. Meetings are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions or concerns, as well as their experience to share with others. Details on dates and locations can be found in the calendar of the Events page. The Buddy Program is free and available to FASGMN members. The program matches up Buddy Explorers needing more individualized support with Buddy Guides who have experience living with food allergies. Guides and Explorers communicate as often and for as long as needed to meet the needs of the situation. More details are available in the For Members section. Webinars offer a convenient way to learn from experts on a variety of topics. FASGMN periodically offers webinars with guest speakers. Watch the calendar on the Events page for upcoming presentations, which are free of charge and open to anyone. Every year, FASGMN presents the Food Allergy Resource Fair to bring consumers together with allergy-friendly products and services from the U.S. and Canada. This highly anticipated event is free, open to the public, and includes an "Ask the Doctor" booth and kids' entertainment. Details on this fall event can be found in the calendar on the Events page.
