The School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act (S.1884) was introduced in the US Senate on November 17, 2011. The proposed legislation would encourage schools to maintain a stock of non-student specific epinephrine auto-injectors to be administered to any student experiencing an anaphylactic emergency. It is currently endorsed by the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Association of School Nurses.
