Y.E.S. (Youth Empowered by Support) began in 2009 with special events for elementary school aged kids with food allergies. We had great participation at many fun events, and decided to invest more of our efforts into this important program.

In the second half of 2010, FASGMN recruited two highly qualified co-coordinators for the YES Program. Shayne Fettig and Kaia Mahlke have been using their backgrounds in counseling, psychology, and parenting food-allergic children to re-design the YES Program. The new program will include monthly meetings that provide fun activities for kids to learn about their food allergies and to connect with one another. There will also be one or two social outings during the year.
