Bullying and Food Allergies

A child with food allergies has the responsibility to watch out for his/her own safety on a daily basis, from a young age. Kids with food allergies have to look for allergens, read all ingredient labels, and avoid cross-contamination. They also carry the burden of knowing that the risk of a severe reaction is very real. On top of all that, some kids with food allergies are bullied due to their health condition.
