| Quality of Life for Caregivers of Kids with Food Allergies |
|
The stress of caring for a child with food allergies can be difficult to manage for many parents. The daily vigilance that's necessary to keep the child safe can be wearing on the entire family. Anxiety often increases when children with food allergies are in school or daycare. The Food Allergy Initiative (FAI) sponsored a study, Variations in Quality of Life Among Caregivers of Food-Allergic Children". See FAI's website for a summary of the findings. FASGMN's next support group meeting on March 23, will include resources for parents and children needing social/emotional support in their food allergy journey. |
